Definisi Teknologi Pendidikan

Definisi :

Teknologi pengajaran adalah satu bidang yang berusaha ke arah meningkatkan kualiti atau keberkesanan pengajaran dan pembelajaran”. untuk mempertingkatkan keberkesanan proses pengajaran dan pembelajaran.

Definisi oleh Persatuan Teknologi Pendidikan Malaysia (1988):

Teknologi Pendidikan ialah proses yang kompleks dalam mengalisis keperluan pendidikan secara sistematik, saintifik dan rasional bertujuan untuk mereka bentuk dan mengaplikasikannya secara sepadu idea, tenaga, sumber bahan, kaedah dan tatacara

Definisi :

"Teknologi pendidikan ialah gabungan manusia, peralatan, teknik dan peristiwa yang bertujuan untuk memberi kesan baik kepada pendidikan" . (Crowell (1971):Encyclopedia of education)

Definisi Teknologi Pendidikan oleh AECT 1994:

AECT: The mission of the Association for Educational Communications and Technology is to provide international leadership by promoting scholarship and best practices in the creation, use, and management of technologies for effective teaching and learning in a wide range of settings.

Goals: 

1. Define the disciplines and professional activities that comprise the field of educational communications and technology.
2. Serve and represent professionals in the field and support professional growth.
3. Advance scholarship and practice that contribute to and enlarge the knowledge base of the field.
4. Promote policies that ensure the humane and ethical use of educational communications and technology at all levels, from the personal through the international.
5. “Teknologi pengajaran adalah teori dan amalan tentang mereka bentuk, membangun, mengguna dan menilai proses serta sumber untuk pembelajaran”.

Seels & Reechy (1994):

“Instructional technology is the theory and practice of designing, development, utilization, management and evaluation of processes and resources for learning”.
